The Ask
Airbnb sought creative ways to support the 100-year anniversary of the U.S. National Parks program, aligning with their ongoing "Live Anywhere" campaign.
The Answer
Working with TBWA Chiat Day, Colossal conceptualized "A Room With A View," an idea integrating live streams of National Parks from Airbnb listings. This concept highlighted the proximity of these listings to the parks, effectively illustrating the idea that these breathtaking natural landscapes could be a guest's "backyard" during their stay.
The Result
The "Room With a View" project was highly successful. It not only resonated with Airbnb and their clientele but also captured the attention of the wider public and media. The live streams maintained strong viewership and engagement on social platforms, garnering an average of 15K likes per Instagram post. The innovative use of video in this campaign was recognized with positive coverage from Creativity.com and Travel+Leisure, and it earned a Webby award for "best use of video," affirming its impact and creativity.
